This coachwork has along and interesting story and too long to tell here. But it spent most of it’s history in the SoCal / Los Angeles area. Originally a Bugatti Type 43 that was rebodied (or initially bodied?) when it came to the USA by Derham Coachworks of Pennsylvania. Eventually it ended up with a Ford 6-cylinder in it and a bunch of other questionable modifications. This is how it looked awhile ago — the Bugatti Type 43 chassis and suspension parts were purchased and shipped back to Europe. The body was available and I was too late to do the deal to acquire. Supposedly it is going to become a “street rod” now.
Interesting car though…
